Hello and welcome! I’m Shay Brackney, a senior portrait photographer based in beautiful Lake Wylie, South Carolina. Photography has been my passion and profession for over 15 years, during which I’ve had the privilege of documenting unforgettable chapters in people's lives.

I believe the best portraits are unforced, spontaneous, and genuinely reflect who you are. Guided by a natural, photojournalistic approach, I focus on candid expressions, true emotion, and effortless interactions rather than stiff, traditional poses.
Light plays a starring role in my work. My favorite times to shoot are early in the morning—just as sunrise paints the sky—and during golden hour, that magical hour right before sunset. The soft, warm glow of natural light creates an atmosphere that feels warm, timeless, and organic.
